The 18-50 and 55-200 are DX equivalents. The 18-50 vignette til 24mm making it 28-80 on dslr and 24-50 on film.

does anyone think there will be many more "DX" equivalent lenses from 3rd party? Seems that Nikon DX series are here to stay.

i picked up some nikon papers yesterday, it mentioned that smaller lenses require higher precision... so you can forget about low prices

DX is advantageous for the wide end, meanless for the zoom. Yes, despite the recent Nikon going FF thread, it is here to stay. Even if the next gen (D3xx) 3 years down the road is FF, the DX can be used on the D1xx, D2xx and even D3xx camers (see my epiphany thread 6 months ago ), just like the manual lenses can still be used on the current pro range DSLRs.

hi guys, the 12-24 is it fisheye? or is it just a super wide angle?
if its fisheye quite sucky leh i dun like fish eye effect....

i also hope the 18-70 sharpness is better than the canon's 18-58mm EF-S, which i found to be not so hot..... if so, there's a super strong factor for me going to N-SIDE....
