I think quite a number of canon users jumped ship this round because of this camera.

For the benefit of those new here, if you are looking for a new flash, Challenger is having a roadshow in Funan lvl 1 now, the SB700 is at $399 any mode of payment. Just proceed to the Nikon booth. I bought 1 a while ago.

Thanks bro. What's the usual pricing for it?

Good selection. I just hope my Sigma 85mm f/1.4 can hold up against the FX sensor. Else, may have to switch to the Nikon...

As for wide angle, I evaluated both the 14-24mm and the 16-35mm. At f/5.6 - f/8, the 14-24mm still has the distinct advantage, and I am going for the 14-24mm.

Vignette is also apparent in the 16-35mm at large apertures, although it is easily corrected in PS

can, i tried already

Bro, since you are playing with it on dim light, do you face a problem where the ISO refuse to bump up higher then 1000? I try mine with 28-300mm shooting mode set to "A" 3.5f. the shutter limited to 1/30 so by right, if the room is dimmed, the ISO should should up rite? I try the similar setting on my D80, 18-200mm, the ISO go as high as 1600. btw, the ISO is set to Auto and max setting it H1 0.7

im sorry coudn't give you detail yet because i was only playing with it in dim light with high iso... not the real world kind of a shooot...

Do they have any promo on the SB910?

No they don't, but SLRR selling at $578 cash, AP at $599 cash. I was going for the 910 at SLR, but when I was told the price of the 700, I bought and go off. The 910 is a want, not a need :p

Give chance lah!

But seriously, which lens did you pair it with?

I have similar experiences ... wish I have the fast primes with me

I was using the 85mm f/1.4G and 50mm f/1.8G and the lighting condition was about EV -1 or so. Not using the center AF nor the cross-type af, I was using the exterior AF points as I am shooting with natural light at max aperture. Couldn't really use center AF and re-compose as I believe that the focal plane will be shifted.

I attempted to use the LED light from my handphone flash to illuminate subject's face, situation "improved" as in less hunting, but the sensor was hesitant to lock-on. You can feel that the AF ring was making slight adjustments left and right or the focusing stopped for about half a second before giving you the focus confirmation beep.

Give chance lah!

Avsquare bro did compare from his Canon 1DX :dunno:

Blah.. I'm not comparing it with the 1DX.. confirm no fight lah.. But having used the 1DX, 5D3 and 5D2 before, I'm finding that in today's situation the D600 is not to par with the 1DX and 5D3. Need to shoot more, maybe I'm just new to this camera and I'm n00b hehe :bsmilie:
