Since there are so many complaints about the oil, do they have this problem with D800E?

Only a few people claim to have it but the number is much smaller, same for the D4. Still, I think it's more of a Nikon issue. I never had dirt on my sensors from other brands I couldn't blow off. Nikon costumers seems to be used to wet cleaning.

No, but D800 have left AF module issue.
CHeck on the spot before bringing home

Read on flickr, in US some got shutter replaced but stil has dust issues, not resolved..

I heard from the Nikon Service Center manager that they are on the second version of the shutter replacement, the first one didn't work very well. Let's hope v2 (the one they are using now) fixes the problem.

Especially the focus points on D600 confined only in the middle area....

Agree. The D600 should have had the 51 point focus. Big mistake not putting that on the camera.

Maybe cos they got news that canon 6d got 11 only so don't need to put so many in d600 back in the design stage.

Just looks like trial and error. In other words they have no clue. Sad.

Lol. Ok, that makes sense.

Yup, Requiescat In Pace. I guess Nikon is getting tired of their fans requesting a clean camera.

Routine/Regular/Requested Inspection Procedure.

SA

Stupid acronyms

Haha, anyway, as long as my camera is not R-eturned I-n P-ieces, I'm fine with any SA.

RIP usually inscribed on a tombstone for somebody's grave and means "Rest In Peace."

That does not sound promising!
