D600 + 50mm 1.8G + 85mm 1.8G + SD cards = D800 body

You didn't add the computer upgrade cost.

For the price difference of $1k, why not go for the best?

Pay $1000 extra to add more weight, to shoot that maybe 10 out of 10000 shot when u need 1/8000, and to spend even more money to upgrade pc? Well I think most rather spend on lens. In any case, everyone's needs varies :)

Agree .. But d800 just feel more solid on hand .. Its not that much heavier considering the good fx len u should be using ..

Though I wouldn't want to be a damper, but do try your body and shoot it from aperture 8 ~ 18++
Repeat and see if you have the oil/dust stains. Hopefully not. :D
Do reply. Grateful for that ~!

I also just join the d600 club at slr... Try shooting at f8 n f20 so far no sign of oil spot. Loving the serial number.

My got oil spot again after this morning shoot at f25( Marco) even after sending back to NSC 2 times for cleaning. Funny NSC still don't want to confirm is oil stain and still say is dust. The spot is always found at top left portion of the sensor.
