Hi Captnj... what's the main difference btwn "da protector" and the off the shelves/counters clear protectors for cam/pda's ?

you have a shot of your's ? either on your D200 or D40..?

from the website, it sounds like you have to attach a dbl side tape of sorts to the film protector then attach to the cam's LCD ? or did i read wrongly?

thanks in advance.
Da protector is at least 10x thicker than normal LCD protector.
yes you gotta do it like what is described in the web.

hello everyone, i'm a newbie here and also in photography. :)
just bought my D40 kit yesterday for $950 including 1gig SD card. bought another lowepro bag for $19 (50% discount) hehehe. already took some shots and so far i'm very satisfied with it.
It is just perfect for a starter like me with budget constraint to learn more about photography

MF is a headache on my tiny viewfinder in my D50...
as for price of AF-I(or AF-S) they can start from $100+/-(2nd hand 18-55) to $10k+++...

if it's 10x thicker... will it have any impact on the transmisitivity of the film? i.e. i'm not asking the obvious.. but just concern if it will impact me scimping (typo?) and trying to adjust my settings....

thanks in advance and fellow CS's patience... just wanna make sure before i buy it or go with normal LCD protector.

no, just make sure the screen is clean and clear before you stick it on... It is a hassle to take out once it stick onto the camera LCD.

Hi, has any one bought 3rd party lens for the D40 yet?

I've bought a used 55-200 Nikor lens from a CSer here...looking for a 3rd party macro lens...wondering any one has tried 3rd party lens...

If have, can give your comments here?

get the tamron MF 90mm macro from BnS here, or go for the nikon 105VR.

yup, pm the seller already for the 90mm...105 VR too ex...
haha, just note the MF... not the AF, since you can't use AF on that lens anyway. (unless you got another body that can do AF on normal lenses)
