which LENS is actually weather proof?

It's really a great camera. But I'm glad to see our Pentax K10D in the finalist too

Is there a limitation on the usage of the CF card on D300?
I bought a normal Kingston 4GB CF but i can't even seems to be able to format the card on camera. The word 'FOR' keeping flashing on the LCD.
Btw, i had tried to format with both methods.
Anyone encountered the same problem?

Or do we need to follow the menu as in D300 only accepts Sandisk and Lexar??
Pls I need enlightenments cos i can't wait to use this baby asap..
The wait is unbearable..
Now got my hand on one finally yet i cannot use it..

Is it necessary to format it?

I had previously used SD and never format any of them before.

all cards generically are pre-formatted to FAT32
so u can use it straightaway

In Japan now... prices don't seem to be cheaper.

Han a chance to try out the D300 in the famous Yodabashi camera place - feels very well made. Viewfinder very bright and focusing very interesting.

Thinking of switching again (sigh) - the reviews so far don't help. Feeling like BBB

Any thoughts or suggestions?
