forgot to edit my info.. i'm actually back in sg already..

i actually have a friend who is offering to lend me 7.5k for the purchase.. :o:confused: oh no.. lucid dreams and dejavu :o

i dreamt of how smooth/stable the d3 was..13 shots at one go without feeling the mirror slap.. could remember telling my roomie how good it was at iso 6400 and how the focus for every shot was in... dang this is becoming obsessive :bsmilie:

eh guys,

i saw some sample pics by D3.
dont you think any iso higher than 6400 aint really usable?
no?

To me, 6400 Usable consider very good enuff liao. 5D i think 1600 still ok. 3200 never try b4. besides 5D (1dsmk3/1dmk3?) which camera give u usable 6400?

Well, it's very decent liao... mebbe for those who are gonna use it for PI work, mebbe they can bump it up that high just for a deent shutter speed...

went to shoot songs of the sea over the weekends.
realised that for d200 at iso1000, it's really noisy.:(

really wish i had a D3 with me.

hmm,i bet u've been shooting alot in a controlled environment, yes?
i feel that for d200,the noise monster pops out around iso 800.

That's why I love my D40

ISO 1600 and still chugging along

oh, i didnt know d40 noise control is better than d200.

sigh...i tried shooting even at 1600, wah...i come home i reject most of the pics ah...

Because D40 is 6mp compared to D200 10+MP count.

i miss chugging iso1600 on the d40/80

D80 can shoot 1600 well without the need for noise post processing?
I do not bother to reduce noise on the D40's ISO 1600 images.

noise ninja is a freeware?

the noise reduction you guys mentioned is in the d200 or LR or CS3?

anyway, here's a recent shot over the weekends.
see the noise?

this kind of night scene, you need a tripod and not high ISO

told you before

I dont like carrying tripods.you really think i have strength like you guys?mine's a very heavy tripod even though it's carbon fiber.
also, they didnt allow tripod to be set.a few tourists were told to keep theirs even though they are seated at the last row.

i know tripod is the way to go for shoots like these but the very thought of d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 d3 in my mind when i was shooting really frustrates me.:bsmilie:

i would say, the noise for certain shots were acceptable(forced) lah.but for the pyro shot, i think the noise is bad.

don't need to bring a big big tripod mah
