Regarding about D100 the product pricing mechanism is in control. Nikon deals direct with their supplier and hence the product pricing. when demand exceeds supply ,Nikon limits its qouta prices factor maintains.Best prices for D100 is to maintains supply.
Heh, wanker! :bsmilie: (wanted to say that in public for a loooong timeSNAG said:Just to let you guys know:
equote from Cathay yesterday night: $2600 w/o gst.
Works out to be about $2680.
Anyway, I'm seriously contemplating on getting the D100, but I'm not sure of whether a new model will be released soon, since the D100 has been around for about more than 1 year. I must seriously admit that I'm a bit of an equipment wanker... :embrass:
The exhibition will not get you great prices. There is no major replacement so the price will at most drop by 10%, if any (I doubt it as there has been a recent price drop).SNAG said:And furthermore, there's this upcoming photography exhibition @ Suntec in Dec. So i'm pretty much keeping my fingers crossed.
So what should I do?
On one hand, I'm dying to get my hands on a D100, but on the other hand, I want to wait for a newer model to be released.....
And if I'm intending to get the D100, I will probably couple it with my 24-85 AF-S. Or you can get the 17 - 55 AF-S as well

got the AFS 12-24mm yet?
You can consider the AF 28-105 f/3.5-4.5, AF-S 24-120VR f/3.5-5.6 to kick off if you're going to buy the D100. If you want zoom, the Sigma 80-200 f/2.8 or the AF-D 80-200 f/2.8 is a nice setup.crazypaladin said:So for those who wish to get it, what lens are you looking for as well?
If you want something in the range of 50, why not consider the 50/1.8?sykestang said:I think the 17-55 should be a better lens with a f-stop of 2.8...
Personally I am more interested in the 10.5 f2.8 fisheye. Anyone know the price?

The spanner in the works is the Sigma 12-24 Full Frame. The street should be around S$1.1k. But, the angle is very wide (122 degrees), so I really wonder about the quality...espn said:If you want something in the range of 50, why not consider the 50/1.8?
The 10.5 fisheye is rumoured USD$1K I believe, too wide, 10.5 x 1.5 = 15.75mm The 12-24mm would be a good choice![]()

). After that, the 70-200 VR or 80-200 G
