Checked with Alan Photo who called up Nikon. Have to wait another two weeks for the stock to arrive. Looks like good things always need to wait!

Anyway, about the 4GB CF, it actually works on the D100 contrary to rumours, albeit it takes a little longer to be detected by the camera, and a little longer to be formatted by the camera. But once it is done, the cards really flies. 8-12 full resolution JPEG-FINE frames till cannot click. :devil:

There are two characters who claim to be selling their new high-end cameras in the Marina or Geylang area. When I sent an e-mail to her, she replied that she is in US.

One wonders how the transaction is gonna take place.....they even have a NIKON D2H selling for S$2880 !!!!!
Kinda fishy if you asked me considering the fact that Nikon isn't releasing the D2H until late Nov.

There was a story on website earlier about this low cost seller. They would advertise an address somewhere in Singapore, then post to sell cameras at super low prices, then ask you to send money to their bank account overseas. Believe in them or not is up to you, but I myself would aviod them.

First of all, the D2h is not out in the market, they might have gotten a set illegally (steal, rob) and sell it cheap, it might be jolly well be a pre-production set.

Also the price of the D2h is set at about $6K, $2.8K is way too cheap for the camera, common sense + conscience will tell you that such deals don't fall through often. And likely one party will end up hurt.

I'll try and karchow them and see if they will "send" me the camera first, then we'll talk about payment later ;-)

Please be careful...some may even infiltrate the CS community. Whatever we do, don't let greed or the desire to get a piece of equipment get the better of us (perhaps I speak more of myself ).

Again, if the price sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

Don't try to "save a bit", then lose the whole amount. One very important thing, know what's the market price.

stock just arrive!!!

I called up at 11am, and was at CP at 11am, CP has no stock, both shops.

MS Color has one set left, RP $2700/- and not anywhere near $26xx.

I didn't get the set at MS for fear it might be a display or oh well... call me Singaporean attitude
