Found a good tutorial/guide (actually a white paper) for newbies and even experienced photographers with a H1 to pick up some tricks on how to make full use of the H1 capabilities. (This guy bought H1 as backup for his 828 but ended up selling off his 828 instead)

Hi everyone, anybody knows how I can test my H1's supersteady shot? I Think its not working. The images taken before and after turning on the function was the same. Even if its a tiny shake. What can I look out for?

Okay... here's a few things to start you off.
1.) Make sure your steadyshot function is on (if it is off, the bottom left of lcd will have the hand - shaking symbol with "off" on it.
2.) Make sure the source of the blur is not due to moving objects.
Once done, just perform your test (perferably on a dead, non moving object indoors)
I suggest you use shutter priority mode and shoot on the same object using different shutter speeds at varies steps. (Perhaps from 1/10sec to 1/200sec). Try to keep steady for all shots (like holding your breath)
Remember, do not purposely shake the camera to test the supersteady shot as there is only so much it could do...

I went to try out the H1 after reading so much abt it here... you guys make it sound soooo good... 
I also tried out the Z5 and S2... think H1 is the best value for money... i love the controls, very intutive. ...
I got a deal at $699 that comes with 1 x 512mb and 2 extra batt... Good deal??
Hand very itchy now... want to get it like asap but friends say wait till IT show in march. Shld I??? :dunno:

(maybe offer 1gb free..but u pay at say 750? or free tripod, etc)
so it's still a give n take issue. get now lah, wait wait wait....time is also money too! :bsmilie: juz my humble opinion.

Got my H1 last evening!!! Yeah!!
Going to Sony gallery later to pick up my free 512mb and maybe to paragon to get a crumpler bag... :gbounce: sooo excited!!
