Hi bro petetherock

PMed u earlier. I got a Giant TCR 2 Advance bike.
Quite like the colors. Very nice responsive ride, but still trying to get used to cycling a road bike. Gotten a little more familiar with the gears after a few cycles.

Very nice bro...

Sigh, I need to get on my bike more... Had a nasty spill recently... big "road burn"... :(

Super ouch man. I am not ready to take it on roads yet... I only do park connectors hahahaha

Anyone knows a good and not too expensive bike shop near the Yio Chu Kang area?
I am thinking of over-hauling my old Hard Rock fixed frame...

There's one along upper thompson near the lower pierce reservoir. Otherwise, take a nice relaxing bike ride to Yishun, a few shops here.

That is a really solid looking bike. I also just bought a road bike last week. Still trying to get the hang of it. It's a Wheeler Route 1.4 (entry level). Starting with park connectors and will be joing a group once confident enough on the road.

Wah so many people jumping on road bikes! I am still on my hybrid...very tempted to jump too but I dunt think I will dare ride on the road for a long long time. Riding road bikes on park connectors sounds like more damage to the bike than to myself? ;)

actually park connectors condition is pretty good, wouldn't damage bike, at least at kallang park connector.

Oh I typically cycle from ECP up to CV using the park connectors. Quite a bumpy ride in some places, so I am not sure if road bikes are built for that. Part of the reason why I have a hybrid instead. Btw I tot Kallang have even more obstacles, including overhead bridges?

I have kenna a pinch flat barely 3 days after I changed my tyres on the North connector before. I guess it still pays to look where your tyres are going.

I ride on roads nowadays but have to be mindful of vehicles. EXTREMELY mindful. I recommend going through simple traffic rules and regulations. East coast to Changi is one of the more friendly riding stretches, great food too hah. Woodlands Mandai stretch is also nice, can zip to Thompson for kopi hohoho

I used to do recreational cycling with friends before but it never took off. But after I learnt driving on roads, now i cycle with a different perspective, and perhaps even more careful.

( BTW when I drive, I still hate inconsiderate cyclists )

@ huawei - I dreaming of a hybrid ! I cannot go off road on bumpy trails with my current setup. Maybe next time i fix up one Ti frame one :P

Running and cycling made me lost 12kg since before CNY tis yr, hope to cut another 8kg or so off, then maybe I can try those really light wheelsets kekeke. The HEDs look way evil

Hybrid also not meant for off-road you know...

You really have to try the bikes, see if it fits your frame well, it is a tall order to get a fit :p

Get the shop to do a simple bike fit for you. Then you know what size to try.
