is there any way to off it ? will eat alot of battery ?

It does not take alot of battery power to run it.. it will last you along time. It is just like running a watch. It does not take alot to measure all the data as alot of it has to do with the magnet sensor at the wheel and fork. As the magnet pass the sensor on the fork with every rotation, it is sending that magnetic flux which is picked and calculated by the display unit on your handle bar. Easily one year of use lah..... more if you are careful not to damage it or subject it to any big change in temperature..etc.

wahh. i just finished 64.9km in 3hrs 15mins just now night cycling was going constant 20km/hr . * DEAD BEAT *

and now my butt its offically GT butt. now i need to rest until sunday when i going to complete the whole east coast. so i believe frm yishun to mandai zoo around 20km (est.)
Plus just now 64.9km + 20Km = 84.9km . i believe one end to another end of east coast its 20km. so total will be aorund 104.9km in a week. :bsmilie:

than i will take a 4 day break . before i start a normal every evening 10km.

wah.. sooner or later my fats will be gone. :)

Any recommendation for a road bike? I have a budget of 1.5k. I am now looking at Trek 1.2 and Cannondale Synapse 7.

Hi

My ride. I took this photo 2 years ago after I fitted disc brakes to it. Its pretty much the same today.

2 years later on a Singapore-Malaysia road trip.. taken during a break at the Woodlands Checkpoint.

Nice white, is it a steel frame?

So you had to change the whole wheel set plus the disc brakes, rotors and brake levers right?

Yeah, just normal 4130 steel.

Yup, had to change the lot, but over time it was worth it.. they saved me from many near accidents

Glad you have choosen a disciplinary path to weight loss with
greater understanding regarding the final benefits of regular cycling
to achieve your goals.

The Cateye computer is a very useful tool for you to find out the
total distance as well as the average speed you are doing.
Record the information in a little notebook for each cycling session.
You will know when you have covered your first 1000 km and be
able to compare your weight since the day you began training.

However during your four days of resting, it won't do you any good
if you start to eat as much as you can. Just have regular light meals
and keep to your chosen diet with a good mental positive attitude.

Keep us posted on your findings of regular disciplinary cycling for
weight loss. This will also encourage others to follow a similiar program.

Be happy and keep cycling. :)

The Part Connector Network (PCN) is a good example where the government is putting great effort to make Singapore a paradise for cyclists. We know that cycling is a bit dangerous on the road especially for inexperienced cyclists.

Cycling on the highway is not allowed for obvious reasons. It's still a long way for local motorists alike to be awared of cyclists who have to commute to work daily and to give allowance for their presence on the road.

Exploring the PCN is a great adventure for recreational cycling. On exploring the PCN, one good place to go is the Ulu Pandan Park Connector 1.

The steps could be a problem for children cyclists.
Hope the authorities can replace it with a smooth path for them
to easily push their bikes up.

Still the PCN is a joy for many cyclists.
