sorry bumping rather old thread. but anyone knows where to buy tandem bike? :D

And your reason for a tandem bike being? As romantic as it sound to own one (abeit a pricey one) it is very restrictive and have a few down sides to owning one. Renting one at the park makes alot more practical sense. Unless you have a very strong reason for doing so.

You can check out Diginexx, a folding bike specialist. Their outlet is at 231 Lavender Street. They have all kinds of foldable bikes for different usuage. But be warned the price can be pretty fantastic as well.

If your budget is tight, Polygon has 2 different size foldable bikes, Urbano & Metro. Check them out at Rodalink. I got the Urbano, the 20" version. A bit heavy, but useful for daily commute or a fun ride at the park. It has 7 gear shift to help on the upslope. You can consider Metro if you want a smaller version.

There are also other cheap brands like Dahon, or some other China brands, which can be found in some of the local bike shops.

thanks for the link and info. how much did you pay for your urbano, may i ask?

Current price is $390 as per Rodalink website. I think I bought it at a slight discount during one of their sales promotion. Metro is currently priced at $320.

You can check out the price + pictures at Rodalink website

o..who is going this Sun SAFRA runway?

Got an old Hard Rock Frame, the wheels are rusted out, the frame is fine, do you all think it is worth while replacing the front and rear rims and tires, and roughly how much it will cost?

Love the frame, and all, but a new bike might cost less...

Just bought a Haro Flightline 2DX last week. Awesome bike. :vhappy:

It would be a better chance to get a response when you post a picture of your
"old Hard Rock Frame".

Depending on the brand and quality of the rims and tires,
both would cost you from $300 to $800 or more.
:)

We will be too delighted if you care to share a picture of your new bike.

Many of the new cyclists here won't know what a "Haro Flightline 2DX" is
and neither do I.
:dunno:
