Wanted to sell it off but eventually the incredible sharpness of the lens+sensor has made me keep it for the time being.

I just bought the Coolpix A! Not too sure if I have gotten a good deal... 1.2K inclusive of GST at Sim Lim Edison Electronics... yet to do some real test shoots.... but a quick random shoot at my house shows that the Macro mode in low light is pretty impressive.

Just to add... I shoot this in P mode... did not adjust anything, purely determine where the camera focus... autofocus mode... no post production from raw or any adjustment to image... direct jpg output.

Having a tough time deciding between the Coolpix A and Ricoh GR
Recently tried the Coolpix A, the AF is actually not that slow eventhough lights in the shop are not that bright.

Yes, I have considered the Ricoh GR too... however, I don't think it is available in Singapore yet... and the review for Ricoh's video capability is pretty negative.

Anyway, I have done another test shoot today on my son using the "Portrait" scene auto function... Really pretty impressive on its performance and details in capturing children on the move. See below samples with no tweaking and adjustment. Auto focus on the face.
