they had not done anything to support him to stay.
I feel that if Mr Durai had stayed to overseas the whole issue of explaining to the public, it would have been a result i want to see.
You want Mr Durai to explain why he needs to fly on first class air tickets? And also explain why he is connected to a phonecall centre company that has a service contract with NKF?

I don't think so ...

Its just asking for her to retract her statement and apologize since not any one and everyone has a $600K peanut salary :rolleyes:

Oh, you are expecting that Durai would give an explanation for his 12 month bonus and golden taps and first class air-tickets to the public? I think your expectation is a bit... far-fetched. I can see no legitimate explanation for his behaviour, if there were, he would have used it for his defense in court.

Besides, what can the NKF staff do beyond giving him a standing ovation to show their support for him?

NKF as an organization explain how the financial is handled, and how it would allow a company with connections to its CEO be awarded a contract.

the way i see it, mrs goh seems to say:

res=200mil pay=.6mil
ratio= .6:200= peanuts

res=100+bil pay<=1.2mil
ratio= 1.2:100,000= peanut shells

PM and his peers r like Durai and his.
not productive by nature,
supposed to make the environment condusive, that's all.

I felt that NKF has turned its back to Mr Durai. (my personal point of view) and i don't trust NKF not to do the same to people who are on their support.

My money can be used for unfortunate, so i rather donate my money to ALL the other charities than NKF.

Yeah the Board and CEO would be different, then let those people who push for such reforms to donate to NKF with their new board and CEO, while i donate my worthless coins to some other charities.

Oh hell, for the first time, I accept that the end justify the means. I'm getting bald from too much thinking. You have more twist n turns than desperate housewife. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: more! more!

I am at a loss for words. Maybe my Wernicke's or Broca's areas are beginning to lose their function.......

Oh, they are coming back.

Oftentimes a lobectomised person can think in strange ways.........
I agree.... For a moment, I suddenly felt a dark void, and I was so lost... until I saw the light...

walked over and realised that with the light had actually led me into a deeper, darker tunnel.

I had heard ppl in their 50s suffering dementia, I guess I muz be holding a record for suffering frm dementia 1/2 of that age. ;p

Get real!
He is the CEO, he awarded a contract to a company that he is connected to, and he did not tell the Board of Directors (ie his boss) that he is connected to this company.

I tot this would be the job of the new BOD & CEO as a move to restore public confidence? To review past practices and implement changes where deemed necessary. Or have I mistaken what the new BOD & CEO is tasked to do? :confused:

Nevertheless, it's probably a good suggestion that Mr Durai oversee the explanation. In hindsight, resigning may have bee an easy way out.:)

I like it when Mr Khaw affirmed he doesn't condone any hanky panky.

hi bro,
i hv long since discard her post like
NKF's pledge card.

at least with NKF i get the drift
and know what they r after.

with her,
its like my 20D's flash exposure with 420EX,
some over, some under,
some red n some blue.
confusing as hell.

I personally know the ex-CEO TTD when I was a volunteer with NKF for the last 5 years (before I went overseas for studies), and recently resumed my volunteering. Before TTD became the CEO of NKF, he was a successful lawyer running his own private practice. He was earning definitely more than what NKF was paying him then. And given his intelligent and motivation, I'm sure he definitely can earn much more than what he got from NKF for the last 10 years if he had remained as a lawyer.

Nevertheless, TTD has resigned and I won't want to say further on this unfortunate NKF's saga.

Whoever wanna flame me for what I said, go ahead. I couldn't bother more.

Twist and turns?
hmm i didn't see such.
Cause from the beginning i have been a supporter of Mr Durai getting what is promised to him as a pay package. Supportive of him being the CEO of NKF, supportive of NKF till Mr Durai steps down as the CEO. as well as, getting what i want if i donate, and being heartless, that's basically it.

What turns and twists are there?

A neurotic person, while behaving abnormally, have insights.

There are some those who behave abnormally, but without insight. For these we call them...........

Aiyah! Just can't remember what they are called...........

I'm wondering whether perhaps this could be part of a well-orchestrated Govt coup to take down NKF after years of putting up with the rotten-ness inside.

1) Davi is MM Lee's lawyer and a *** MP. You really think he would be allowed to tear the heart out of NKF so publicly knowing the likely consequences, without some high-level green-light from the powers that be?

2) You think that ST's article would have been allowed to stand and this thing dragged all the way to court (with the obvious outcome of dirty linen being aired) without the same kind of high-level green light? SPH is Govt owned, don't forget.

3) The way SPH quoted Mrs Goh and put her unflattering photo (walking beside Durai) almost feels like an "ambush" job, to deliberately reveal her influence in NKF and opinions about the way things there are run.

Sounds like 1 year after GCT steps down and LSL takes over as PM, the house-cleaning of rotten institutions has begun! :bsmilie:

Khaw Boon Wan today said they would not tear down NKF just to rebuild because things are not "rotten to the core". In order words, only some parts are "rotten". This is the most blatant Govt signal yet, from one of PM Lee's personally appointed Ministers, that the view from the (current) Govt is that there is indeed something rotten in NKF. PM Lee himself, in an soundbite from the US, aired over the radio this morning, said that he would not rule out a board of inquiry. They are serious on this matter :nono:

You should have seen the Channel 5 segment about his resignation. I feel that he was a hero for stepping down after sacrificing 35 years of his life and now NKF receives angry calls from unreasonable donors wanting their money back. NFK have a procedure regarding refund and approval is on a case by case basis but someone demanded his refund right away so the poor NKF staff have to use her pocket money to give back the $12 donation. At the end, I really feel sad for the CEO and mad at the people who was very unreasable and uncivilized... after some soul seaching, I went back to the forum and enjoy Nisa's postings. Now I'm happy again.
