i'am on the same thoughts as you.

I had the exact same thought too. But given that I was just starting out on photography and was buying my first system camera, I felt that

1) there was no point in buying such an advanced camera since I would still need to master my basics first

2) the GH2 is really too expensive

3) I would still need to wait quite a while

4) even if I had been toying with the idea of shooting films, I don't think I would ever be able to achieve even just one given my lack of resources. So buying the GH2 and not shooting videos would be an extreme waste of money

This was back in September. Thus I stayed firm, blocked out all temptations, and settled on the G2 instead. A fine piece of equipment which allowed me to achieve my objectives of learning photography.

The end user posted photos look really good in Dpreview. I guess the European and Canadian side is enjoying the GH2 while we in SGP still wondering when it will arrived. -__-'

The small red dot being not a major market for GH2 can't expect Panny to divert their resource to us first. So let's grab a chair and a cold beer to wait it out.
