Comex Olympus deals 28-31 aug

Bought E-M10 and ECG-1 grip from 2 different shops at Funan this morning, claimed the 45mm lens from Olympus just need to show receipt and warranty card. With the grip the camera is much more comfortable to hold.

I only got one lens .. Anyway was told to bring the whole set back.

As Keithwee said, hopefully they'll give 1-1 exchange, else it'll take a while to have Olympus fix it

If you don't buy from COMEX you probably can get close to $90 cheaper. But the 45mmF1.8 you have to self collect by 3 Sep 14 at Olympus side. If you buy from COMEX you get the lens there. I just bought mine OMD EM10 with kit zoom from Alan Photo Funan. Played for a while at home .. now the &*^%$ hang and the pan cake zoom stuck at maximum and won't move. I remove battery, switch on off, do reset nothing works ... Can play with the menus though .. but it keep showing MF .. which probably means the lens as when I take out I can fire.

No, the pancake zoom (14-42 EZ) does not have any unlock switch. It will deploy and extend itself automatically when switched on and retract into itself automatically when switched off - similar to how it works for compacts.

Hope the shop is honorable enough to do a 1-1 exchange for u since the set is just a few hours old

They seem to imply they will change. Will let u know on Wed. As to the unlock switch even if have won't be much good ..cos I managed to unlock it a few times by mounting and dismounting .. Sometimes works but always jam again

Just wana give a small reminder as I'm sure there will be 14-42EZ and 45/1.8 lenses unbundled from the Comex sales on BnS soon

The 12+3 months for lenses applies only for kit lenses ; in this case the 14-42EZ definitely but I don't think this will apply for the 45/1.8 as it's given as a stand-alone free gift - aka standalone warranty card.

Just wana clarify before seller or buyer gets the wrong expectations.

Good time to BBB 14-42 EZ, 45 f/1.8 and EM-10.. Depending on which is unloaded.

not that clear enough haha... buy from funan reputable shops (SLR revo, alan foto, tk foto) or MSColor at AMK or Parisilk in Holland V. Can call before going down to check prices and colours. Last day supposedly is Sunday. quick hands quick legs

Can I ask those who bought at E-M10 at COMEX: was the spare battery you were given original Oly battery or 3rd party?

Am asking cos AMK shop (same price mentioned by another post above) quoted me with 3rd party battery...

If I haven't already bought those 2 lenses, I would probably get it...

I think can try Orient Photo (Sim Lim Square) as well but I don't remember if they carry Olympus M4/3. They probably do.

I bought at Funan paid $70 for an extra original battery, total cost still more than $30 cheaper than buying at Comex. Need to claim the 45mm lens from Olympus.

I shoot mostly street and portrait...do you think Oly is a good complement to my Nikon FF?

Not sure why...now suddenly I am not quite confident in getting it..despite the price is so attractive...
