comex a33 got problem, SONG Brothers refuse exchange!!!

If i keep all the comments to myself and don't learn from the mistake i make, then forever i will be a fool. Thanks for enlighten me. I rather be a fool for once than a fool forever.

That is good. Now that you know what mistakes you made, you have now progressed. Congrats.

Why should the reputable shops be jealous, go take a look in SLS on weekends, compare the crowd in AP and other shops, thats why more reputable stores don't need to front the rentals for IT shows.

May i know what does AP stand for ? Authorise partner/party ??

But matter of the fact, camera bodies have been selling at RRP (MSRP) at shows and fairs. While in the stores, you can get a significant discount.

We are talking about camera equipment here are we not?

Oh, i thought the discussion is whether better to buy at stores or Fair. But in the end it still depends on what kind of products you are buying.

Please read from the first post. Topic has always been buying of Photographic equipment at fairs/shows vs stores.

And on top of that, this is a photography forum.

If you are not able to follow a conversation in its context, please refrain from jumping in and adding your 2 cents if your 2 cents are totally irrelevant.

thats y most pple prefer buying from trusted retailers

Don't try to squeeze a win out. U know I know, we are talking about DSLRs and SLTs in this thread.

Like compact camera, some of the free gifts is quite attractive like free extra original battery, usual it cost like $60-$80 in the market and now it given free in the Fair. So i felt it is a good buy.

Okay, I know DSLRs is Digital Single Lens Reflex but what about SLTs ?

Haha...I went through the whole thread twice. I'm surprised you are engaging a troll with the primary intent of provoking you and everyone here into a desired emotional response. Didn't you see it coming?

Hi Tan, have you realize that if from what you mention the freebies is useless, why do there still majority of people buying from the computer show.

Are you trying to hint something to us.

Because these people don't know that the freebies are actually not much worth. We see plenty of these freebies popping up in Buy&Sell, hardly any picks. And we have plenty of people coming here, inquiring about Steinzeiser filters, Vitacon adapters and other items of questionable use but mostly infamously inflated prices .. and getting damn frustrated about the results. There must be a reason why all these freebies are always thrown out at such fairs or in shops of questionable reputation. I haven't seen any Steinzeiser or Vitacon stuffs at those shops I frequent. I guess there is a good reason about that ...

I do agreed with you, but when i compare some of the stuff selling at the Fair is actually more worth than buying at retail stores. Maybe people have to do some research first before making their mind to buy at the Fair.
I think you have answered your own question already. Do your own math and see if the freebies you are receiving are actually useful to YOU.

Ask yourself whether you will buy those freebies if you have to pay for them. If not, chances are you don't need them. An extra original battery is good to have for some people. A lot of them don't need an extra one if they just do occasional shooting and won't exhaust the battery in one single day. They can recharge the battery during the night and it will be ready for the next day. A 50mm f/1.8 lens is good only if people use them. How many of them just set them aside and let them collect dust and fungus?

How many people will use those flimsy tripod that can't even hold an ultra compact camera? I think if you do your homework on the street price, then you will realize the price that you pay in the IT show is more and the difference are those freebies that you might not need. So why "buy" the freebies which usually are of inferior quality when you can use the money to buy exactly what you want on the accessories that you want?

Then there must be a valid reason why other big brands hand the Fair to Song brothers.

Hi daredevil123, seriously if you don't mention it, i really don't know that the stores has to front the money for the rental of the booths during the IT shows. Doesn't the vendors paid for it since they want to promote their own products.

But when i think it in another ways, could it possible that are you one of the personnel from those established 'reputable' stores that are jealous of those who are willing to front the money for the rental of the booths.

1) Brands dont hand the fair to SongBrothers, its a rotation thing. Every show different retailers will be doing the brand. Throughout the year, even the promotions at various shopping centers under the brand's banner will be done by different retailers, each taking turns to do it.

2) Why retailers pick this up to do it even if it means extra rent? Because on top of selling X brand at their own booths, they can sell X brand under the X booth.

3) Since it's a lucrative place to earn money, retailers will take turns doing it. So back to (1), brands dont hand the fair to SongBrothers

4) With so much rental to pay, salary to pay, leaflets to print. Standing at the retailers side of view, if you want to earn money and to give out freebies which in turn attract more ppl to generate more sales, will it be really worth it to give good freebies?

Take some time relax and think about it why Cs-er always say the promotion @ fairs, you can get it cheaper with the item breakdowns in some regular shops with the right homework done, and right salesman.

Of course i know the rental has to be paid, but read my question carefully, why must the rental be paid by the stores instead of the big brands. Since the big brands want to promote their own products.

Good point.

do they give out free XMM or free bikini photoshoots?:angel:

i know you got lobang, tell me bro.....

Are you trying to hint something to us.

because loads of people out there , despite good advice from well-meaning forumers... will just BBB at it fair. it's hard not to BBB when you're surrounded by BBBing BBBers.

sometimes at it fairs they will have good deals. about one deal every 4 it fairs.. :)

Air Party.

if you buy from them you can party with many xmm in the air. so fun!!!!!!!! :bsmilie:

Yes!!! i was really surprise that Sony let Song brothers to handle their sales.
But i think Sony is not the only one, other big brands as well as i came across Song brothers from previous IT fairs. :thumbsd: to Song Brothers!

Then there must be a valid reason why other big brands hand the Fair to Song brothers.

There is a previous msg link.

Hi, back to (1), other members is asking why other Big Brands also ask Song Brothers to do their brands so my answer to them is there must be a valid reason why the big brands choose them.

Sorry, what im refering is why the Big Brands choose them instead of why the Big Brands hand the Fair to them.

As from your answer from (3), now i know that retailers actually took turns to do it.
