comex a33 got problem, SONG Brothers refuse exchange!!!


How many retailers do you have? And by taking turns, song brothers will do it sooner or later.
If you really want to know why they are picked to do it, work @ sony.
Im in Samsung and i'm not able to reveal any more on who and why certain retailers are chosen over others for this show.
There is always a reason on this, and it involves the big picture with companies polices and contracts with the brand

If that the case, it still depends on the kind of photographic equipment that you are buying.

Like compact camera, some of the free gifts is quite attractive like free extra original battery, usual it cost like $60-$80 in the market and now it given free in the Fair. So i felt it is a good buy.

With most compact cameras, you are still paying RRP while you can get better deals elsewhere. And battery they give you is usually not original manufacturer, but usually 3rd party. I bought a compact in a show many years ago. Still knocking my head over it. and yes, I never ever used the spare battery and it has been 6 years since I bought that camera.

Bro azul123...TS question is difficult to answer. Have you tried going to the shop in SLS? They have the most prominent shop front with the most staff around. When you step in, you somewhat feel like stepping into ...

Why avoid the shop? They are "super friendly". They give "great discounts" with prices that can match other retailers RRP. They give "1to1 exchange" within 7 days provided you don't open the packaging.

With such "good customer service", why are we avoiding the shop. I "cannot" understand. :embrass:

Trust CSer community more that someone trolling around. That is one big enough reason. Furthermore, I was with my daughter bought stuff there before some years back a Sony MD player or something lah.. I buay Song after that.
 

Why buay Song? they only want to go for FT customers.

Hi there, I myself dont know that they refuse, no loss for them ;(;(;(

they said no stock.

The problem is intermittent, and when they try there there is no prblem so no problem cannot exchange, that is what they said. They dont want to listen that I said it is intermittent.

I have sent a complain letter to sony, and I will pursue this matter. I will publish in forums all over the world, so that even tourists will no longer buy there, not just singaporeans.

1st salesman said no stock.
2nd salesman said have stock, no problem cannot exchange.

wonder why I cannot edit nor append my posts above. Sorry to triple post, I bought at comex bcos of lots of freebies, and after selling all those free stuff, my final price of a33 alone is only $650 :)
 

Well...I live very near SLS and that Song Bros is notorious for all the wrong reason. Dat's why u can find 90% only tourist shopping at there cos they dunno how bad their rep is. I can only say they got their shop name right...they make u buay SONG after buying from them.

U can go to the CASE and highlight but i think to the shop, they just think it's an additional complain letter to them. i think their cases shld be thicker than those telephone books? Shop like these shld be shamed.Dunno why it's still around...Sigh....

You know, their acts of deceiving tourists makes the country's name bad also.

In future, many tourist will say dont buy in singapore ..... bcos of many con shops operating in SLS, Lucky, etc..

Lets us know what CASE said. I personally do not put much hope in CASE as they receive many complaints daily. Unless your complaint can make them get their butts off their chairs:bsmilie:
 

The cold hard fact is, complain all you want, this will not affect them in any way, their business keep expanding. Problematic shops in lucky plaza and sim lim have been operating since 10++ years ago. All survive very well, not all tourists are well informed, even locals can fall into their trap.

With all the complains throughout the years, they can still get STAR retailer cert, I saw many shops in sim lim have it.

Remember CASE is not a regulatory body. It can blacklist, it can remove stars, it can issue warnings but if the shop owners ignore them, CASE cannot do anything. I think more than half the consumer electronic stores in Sim Lim Sq are blacklisted in some way or other. And there were many instances of store staff physically hitting and hurting customers. Seen it all, since I grew up in Sim Lim Sq and Sim Lim Towers... We know some of the owners as well... :bsmilie:

But really, free market economy. Willing buyer willing seller. Cannot complain if someone quote a high price, and the buyer accepts and pays. Buyer can just bang head on the wall for not doing due diligence.
 

In my case this is not overcharging.

Go ti SB for exchange, like in 1st post, asked to go ti wisma
Go to wisma, said onky retailer can exchange, CS helped to call SB to arrange exchange. SB agrees, CS asked me to go back to SB
Go in SB again, appointed sales man made me wait for 1.5 hours, then he (bald one) about to exchange, then 1st salesman who in the first time said no stock came in and spoke something to the bald guy. Bald guy now also refuse exchange. Told me i dont charge battery properly, as i am an idiot. Then they ask me to go to wisma again. Called Sony CS, said can help rush service (i am leaving singapore next day)
Go wisma again, cannot help, nothing they can do. Can only go back to SG next month to service this problematic camera.

Wasted good$30 on transport, ang 8 hours.
