comex a33 got problem, SONG Brothers refuse exchange!!!


from what I experience myself and also read about shops in SLS, it seems that the Bengs have the upper hand as they have more people. If you go in alone, chances are you don't really dare to make a big fuss. If you had walked into the Sony service centre and they made you wait one and half hours, some people will bang table, ask to see manager and all that, which sometimes tend to solve problems.

I wonder if TS or whoever has some issuse to resolve with shops in SLS, not necessarily just SB, would it be better (or safer) to go to the shop with at least 5 or 10 friends? They don't have to go into the shop together, can just go in and browse or stay nearby, then just need to appear if things get ugly.
 

In my case this is not overcharging.

Go ti SB for exchange, like in 1st post, asked to go ti wisma
Go to wisma, said onky retailer can exchange, CS helped to call SB to arrange exchange. SB agrees, CS asked me to go back to SB
Go in SB again, appointed sales man made me wait for 1.5 hours, then he (bald one) about to exchange, then 1st salesman who in the first time said no stock came in and spoke something to the bald guy. Bald guy now also refuse exchange. Told me i dont charge battery properly, as i am an idiot. Then they ask me to go to wisma again. Called Sony CS, said can help rush service (i am leaving singapore next day)
Go wisma again, cannot help, nothing they can do. Can only go back to SG next month to service this problematic camera.

Wasted good$30 on transport, ang 8 hours.

I strongly recommend against calling a big group. Many of these shop owners have 'connections' with dubious characters outside. Are you ready to fight it out like in those gangster movies? For a camera exchange??..:o:bigeyes:

I would just get Sony SC to fix the camera on warranty. If the problem comes back, send it in again. After fixing for a few times, Sony will offer an exchange as well... if they deem the camera repairs and servicing is costing them more money than giving you a new unit...

Seriously, in a case like this, it is just a case of bad luck that you bought from Song Brothers.

You should relate your story in detail in STOMP. Also can reach a wider story there. Make sure Sony sees it.

I rather get warranty straight from the camera manufacturer then HM or any superstores.
 

ya but not all manufacturer warranty can be extended.. even can it either +1 or +2...

Encountered a related incident quite some time back, where a friend bought from Merdeka in SLS.

Had some issues with the camera, brought it back to the shop, and then the Merdeka salesman brought us over to Song Brothers to test a brand new set and then asked us to pay extra for the new set.

Had some issues with the camera, brought it back to the shop, and then the Merdeka salesman brought us over to Song Brothers to test a brand new set and then asked us to pay extra for the new set.
