was there too! like no crowd there.. haha
my newb pictures with a newb cam.. taken with PnS Panasonic Lumix FZ-5

Bro good photos.. Mind telling the location so that I can try shooting with my dSLR? ;p

The fireworks paled in comparison to those at Singapore Fireworks Festival in August 2006.

Here are 2 of my takes on CNY eve with my Nikon 5700 (arrived at 11.35pm and was surprise that still got space for me to shoot, albeit not the best of locations) :

My shots from 19 Feb :) ... Smoke reduction processing was purposely not done to preserve the smoke coz fireworks are 烟花, where's the 烟 when its removed ...

This spot is too near to the firing spots unlike some years back when they fired from some barges in the middle of Marina Bay.

On the Benjamin Sheares Bridge, you would need to shoot in portrait frame in order to get the high ones into the frame. But that means your background will have a narrow angle of view. Moreover, you would not be able to get the fireworks lined up across your frame because you're essentially shooting from the side view, meaning that the fireworks blooms will just stack up on one another instead of left and right.

Shoot from the bridge where the Merlion is. Is a safe shot area. Hope that helps.:)

a sample pic shoot from the ECP bridge....

If you die die want to go there, go to Carrefour, take the exit and turn left along the road (It will be about 10mins walk). You will see a flight of stairs leading up the bridge. As they haf mention before, it will be rather too near to the fireworks area to capture nice decent pics.:)
