just go at 8.45 to set up tripod n hang around till they start shooting. last sunday was so empty u can find a good spot at 8.45. most of the spots of the bridge are available. pretty decent spot to take.

Thanks. Will standby earlier by 8.30pm. Which bridge u all talking abt? benjamin bridge or e one near merlion???

I was there on the eve. The side that is "directly" in front of the firing ground is the one nearer to ONE Fullerton (the one with the club - babyface).

I dono, i can't predict... but most probably more crowded than last week, since this is the last chance(next will be in aug i think).

don't think will be crowded looking at the last few crowd...it really depends on wat n how u wan to shoot to decide the location...n wat u wan as background...

take from the merlion side will give u a rather blank background...but you wun have to walk so far up shears bridge...don't try to drive n take from there...got ATEOS police chase u away.

U can try Explorerz's area where the fireworks was taken. I believe that is juz after the trees, before the bridge starts to decline downwards. But, looking at the weather now, it would be better to stick to some place more "civilized" coz BSB doesn't offer any shelter!;)

Its actually somewhere about 3rd quarter of the tree, but anyway the location is up to individual and also the lens capability. if you got a very wide lens, you can try anywhere, but if you lens ain't wide enough best is stick the the side, and my advise is to shoot portrait...
learnt my lesson the last time shooting in landscape just beside all the trees... at 12mm(18mm with DX crop factor) it is barely enough to frame the CBD, higher up fireworks and also those boats.
but again, this is what my experience only... best would be go down there personally to judge

here is one i took the other time
