Below is the schedule of the firework displays for seven days:

16 Feb (Fri) - Opening Ceremony
9:15 to 9:30 p.m.
Duration of Fireworks : 3 mins

17 Feb (Sat) Eve of CNY
9:00 p.m.
Duration : 5- 8 mins

18 Feb (Sun) - 1st Day of CNY
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Duration: 5- 8 mins

19 Feb (Mon) - 2nd Day of CNY
9:00 p.m.
Duration: 5- 8 mins

24 Feb (Sat)
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Duration: 5- 8 mins

25 Feb (Sun)
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Duration: 5- 8 mins

4 Mar (Sun) - 15th day of CNY

The static displays are lighted up. Ready for shooting. Lights out at 11:30pm. Can go shoot now b4 all the crowd rushed in

i read from the straits times today that it's at esplanade park..did a check in http://www.visitsingapore.com/cny/ and the fireworks start from 1955 to 2010..

i'll guess benjamin sheares bridge will be a good location to shoot?

i called up the tourism board and that customer servicer officer told me the firing spot be at esplanade park..i'll go early in the afternoon to reccee around with my friends

from news report - this year organiser plan fewer firework days (oni on selected days), but each days will have longer/extensive firework display.

besides fireworks, other popular photo subjects =
- god of fortune "sprinkle of gold"
- stage performance
- lights and ground deco

n finally, most impt:
- mad rush of aunties n uncles long long Q, buying $10mil TOTO

I thought it's at the location of the IR just like last year. But if firing from the park then there would be an area cordoned to the public and somemore a lot of trees in that area.

I agree, somemore there're lots of pple movement and trees.

i think there is no definite answer. The solution is to go down there early to whackie the place which is i intend to do so. Anyone interested?
