As quoted in Computer Times today.
A snap-happy club
Clubsnap is a year-old online social spot for photography enthusiasts who enjoy interacting in a community. Product marketing manager Daren Lau, 36, is one of the 12 founding members of the non-profit forum.
"We provide a gathering space for people who speak the 'lingo' of photography," he said. "But anyone is welcome to join the community, from the beginner to the professional photographer."
Besides the various forums where the 2,000 active members exchange opinions, a key attraction of ClubSnap is the online tutorials on various topics of photography. The ClubSnap organisers also plan shootings and shopping expeditions where dozens of members meet up.
Most of the forum members are digital camera users. An online poll by ClubSnap found that only 35 per cent of the members still use film camera. Take a peek at the goings-on at ClubSnap at www.clubsnap.org.
