got me disappointed too. i paid for the pre-order because of the arrival date they gave us.

setting the expectation is important here.

but i still hope the guys from courts would expedite this. they would not want people feel they were mislead, arent they?

Wanted to get the OMD too but due to my trip this week, I postponed the idea and just got myself an ep3 to play with first. Anyway, it's a good cam worth the wait. Patience my friend.

Courts has got back to me, so just a quick update and more information for all with respect to the release date:

So for everyone who's waiting, please be prepared that it'll be 20th April or later.
If it lands in Singapore on 20th April, assuming it clears customs fast, distribution to stores etc would push it to 22nd April and beyond.

So for all my fellow people who bought from Courts and paid full RRP (and paid in full also), sad to say we've been misled.
We get it same time as everyone else who paid street price and only paid a deposit.

I'm very disappointed, this means no OM-D for my trip. :angry:

I remember the sales man told me its 3rd week at the Olympus booth at IT show, hmm though I didnt buy .. but anyway the best camera is the one you have in your hand .. the later one will be bonus cheers..

Now that the dates are more or less firmed up, I just feel the guys that pre-ordered from Courts should just ask for more freebies. Even a filter or a tripod. They have earned more than they should and they should learn that consumers today are not like yesteryears. They can't just go on employing such dirty sales tactic.

Let's hope you are right! But I don't see why Olympus needs to build in another one-week buffer if the shipment date is already confirmed.

Anyway I'm mentally prepared to receive the E-M5 around end-April or even early May. If it arrives earlier it'll be a bonus. Nevertheless I'll try to get MSC to cut the price a little bit more, or give me a couple of freebies like screen protector and lens cloth.

Did you order them online from US? "Arrived" sounds like a package (or collection slip) showed up at your door. You sure bought a lot of stuff in anticipation of your new E-M5!

Anyway I have held off the urge to buy additional m4/3 lenses and accessories until I get my hands on the camera. I am still not 100% sure that I will like the EVF or the handling of a much smaller body. But I couldn't resist when a sincere buyer offered a good price for my 60D and 15-85 lens, so I am without a system now. Worst case borrow my wife's S95!

Is Eye-Fi Pro compatible with OM-D ? Heard it doesn't pair up well with the Pen series.

I'm not too sure also...

I kinda grabbed it when it was on an Amazon deal for approximately US$60+.

It showed up as fully compatible on Eye-Fi's list.

Customers who pre-ordered in the UK and Europe just got bad news - their delivery dates have been pushed back to 23rd April. (used to be 1 April)
Looks like we're not alone. Now let's see if US still sticks to 16th April or will they be delayed too.
