Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was already suspicious when I heard that collection will be at Courts Somerset. Courts is definitely not known for low camera prices.

What kind of hands-on session are you talking about, by the way? Do you mean something like the launch at National Geographic, where Olympus staff will give explanations of how the latest features work, before the crowd is the let loose on the demo sets?

Ya there will be a presentation and hands on just like previous pens launch, this time though can put in sd card as it will be production sets

In a way, you are right, like when I first bought my EPL1+VF, it is already $1300+

and OMD comes with weather sealed and 5 axis IS, flip screen. once u add these 3 features, then it makes sense the OMD pricing is right.

Ya lo, totally agreed. Plus the camera is full of buttons we can customize. Just that, I don't like how courts is doing business by jacking up the price with an included mmf3.

Maybe you can reduce the damage by selling the mmf3 if you dont need it.

nope i chose the SD card instead. Not intent to use 4/3 lens over the M4/3 camera. It defeats the purple of migrating from 4/3 to M4/3 right. Currently using E510.
Hope the camera can come by 19 April, cause i am flying to Europe for my holiday with wife on 19 april night

Yah, but the SD card is worth maybe 100 but the mmf3 probably 150 or more. The older non weather sealed versions are ard 150 used price...

was told the retail price for the MMF3 is abuot 198, so yeah if i sell second hand probably can make abit more. But probably not worth the hassle.

If u guys want to pre-order at the IT show, courts also offer extended 2 year warranty at 30% discount of $174. It covers 2 years extented warranty after the 1 year product warranty. Also it covers 1 time accidental damage, eg u smashed it within 3 years, u get another 1 free replacement

So maybe i gonna smash mine at the 2 year 11 month?? lol

by then OMD EM5 no longer in production, may be you have OMD-EM7 as replacement

1st thoughts, AF and FPS is very fast and snappy. Not much time & chance to test C-AF. Was there 10min, took almost 200 shots...not sure cam was fast or my fingers,hehe...dun really like the buttons, prefer wheel instead of the buttons, but won't be able to weatherproof then.

I think the lens is 1 of the best around. its 400 more for the lens if u get the kit. was told the retail price is something like 699
