Checking interest for JB 1 day photo trip

Actually carpooling is better if only got 10 people. Three cars are enough, and it's more flexible, save the hassle going to and back from JB as well (which might be the major reason why the interest suddenly died down).

Since it's Sunday, I might be able to go. But I'd like to do carpooling is I'm going.

Of course its good to be cheaper, but who will provide the car?

If anyone is willing, that would be the best.
Pls put down your name if you don't mind driving into JB for the trip.
The only incentive I can think of would be that the passengers bear the transport costs and the drive does not need to pay.

Would have love to go. Unfortunately timing is bad for me in end to mid March.

Having hired transport would be better. Drove into JB a few times past few months. Returning thru the causeway is tiring because of the jam.

getting hired transport, is better. it will be a problem if we drive own vehicle and it gets into an accident . settling the car insurance claim can be a nightmare, especially for Singapore registered vehicles.

Was talking to my wife about the JB outing, then she reminded me that 30/3 is our daughter's BD She is reaching big 10 this year, probably it's the best to stay w/ the family

We are still more than a month away, but we should firm up the numbers (I'd guess latest by 2nd week Mar) so that its easier to arrange for the transport.

Here is the tentative itinerary,

30March
Cost : $35 each for transport (a mini van with driver and fuel) (all other expenses excluded)
Max participants : 10 (excluding Michael)

7am - meet at Kranji MRT, take public transport over to JB
8am - Fetch at JB custome
8am - 845am : Breakfast
9-10am : Wet Market
1030-1230 PM : JB Heritage Walk
100pm to 230pm : Lunch
230-330pm : JB Glass temple
330pm - 500pm : Rest and kopi session
5pm to 6pm : JB chinese temple
6-730pm : India temple
730-9pm : seafood dinner

But what if I came into JB the day before (with family) -- then I would not need the van ride to/from and I would instead meet up with you early Sunday morning for breakfast (I would still pay a share of the cost) -- would that work for you?

I've been on a few personal photo walk-abouts in JB recently -- I don't know a lot about the place and understand it even less. But I may be able to share a few tips what I've seen and in turn hope to absorb some knowledge from guys who've been doing this for way longer than I have

The van is for the whole JB trip to various areas (which can be a distance away).
So you are free to join us in JB on the Sunday morning, but you have to decide if you pay and take the transport, or drive your own car to follow (and not pay of course)
