If you have used a point and shoot in manual mode, the workshop will be a waste of time. However, if you play around with the camera a bit and go prepared with your doubts / questions, the instructors will help during the recess break. That's about it.

We were told that Olympus is planning a advanced workshop which will spread over a few sessions and will involve outdoor photo shoots also. This will be chargeable, but details not available yet. Hope this helps.

Just called Cathay Photo @ Peninsula today . . . was quoted S$1499 nett (cash, credit card or installment - same pricing) for the 12-50mm kit . . . free leather strap, 16Gb SD card and extra batt (claim from Olympus) . . . sounds like a nice deal
