Hi guys,

I remember there is a online guide to the EM5 but I am not able to find it, anyone know?

And, paiseh to ask is I seems not able to remove the plastic cover (on body) so that I can put in the flash. I try to use some force and almost leave some scratch mark to the plastic cover and I dare not try now.:embrass:

Also, what is the best SD card we should use for EM5 so that no lag after we take the photo? My Sandisk class 10 seems to have some lag.

Finally bought a EM 5 with kits for $1520 with free battery, 16GB card, Pen leather bag. Also bought PWP FL-36R for $148.

Body only no promotion. So just made do with kit lens and hopefully Olympus can launch a fast zoom or wait for good price of Panny 12-35mm f2.8.

How are u liking this so far compared to your GX1? I'm so tempted to upgrade!

I remember the em5 hotshoe cover has an arrow? So you will have to remove from there.

Sd extreme (45mb/s) is good enough for me, I shoot burst with jpeg, seldom jpg+raw. The buffer in em5 is good, meaning it can write while you continue to shoot, only is when playback will have to wait till it's done. Else, extreme pro (95mb/s ) if you want more future proof.

Good deal!!! The kit lens is a jack of all trades, its a keeper and the only kit lens ive used in my entire life that has a decent macro capability.

Beside hot shoe cover, there is a small plastic cover for AP2, that is the one that I have trouble removing.

Maybe let me try shooting jpeg 1st. Not sure whether want to pay so much for Extreme Pro.

hi, welcome to clubsnap. You can try calling the usual stores that's popular with local photographers.

Tk Foto (Funan)
Cathay photo (peninsula)
Ms color (ang mo kio)
Parisilk (Holland village)
Orient photo (Sim Lim sq)

You can google and call before going down for the colors and stock and check if prices include gst. Not sure the latest prices are now, was about 1700 iirc.

you might want to check.out more on m43 threads, newbies stickies as well.

Try to open it from the left side of the plastic cover, there's a little bit of a gap, try to pull from that gap with your nail..
It should be quite easy to remove once you know it..

I got my omd a few wks ago from them after checking around. Surprisingly the price they offered was similar/cheaper than the other shops' cash price. Maybe they have too much inventory for omd? Haha.

I bought it from Cathay...think it was 1688. I think the price has dropped recently, you might wanna check around first. With the new price revision some other shops might offer a better deal.
