Hey felixcat,

Thanks for your info...but as I try to change the lens cap, I went to MSC again......in the end, I had to buy another sling with a stick pad at the end for the lens cap and I bought the Tokina CPL at $30...

I will try TCW for my nex purchase...paisey hor.:embrass:

BTW, as the CPL is screwed onto the UV filter, how do I rotate it for the various filtering angle? loosen the thread anti-clockwise to rotate?

Thanks.

Tom,

Go to TCW in Peninsula Shopping Centre and look for Daniel. He is an old friend of mine. Tell him I ask you to look for him for the Hoya Cir Polariser. If you have any cam questions, just approach and ask him when you are there.

Cheers.....

$43 very ex, got mine for less. Somemore mine is the 58mm version.

O, thanks for your offer....but I bought the Tokina before I see you post.:)

lastboltnut, the cpl typically got 2 rings. Even tho you screw the cpl onto the uv filter, the frontmost ring of the cpl should still be able to rotate without having to loosen the thread. Works for mine anyway... try and see if yours can.

i thought 58mm lens cap only $5 from CP. brandless.

Then MSC is dishonest loh....I trust them so never do research....

well, prices do varies for different items.

i got my S3 from there. nice price. then i asked if they have lcd protectors, jackson said $10... ... he ask me go outside and buy and cut my own. haha!

so i got a $1.50 + $0.50 postage from yahoo auctions and cut out a 2' one. of course, the quality ain good but it works. :)

Hi, i just bought the RB52S2 52mm adapter for my S3. when i max zoom in, it overshot 1-2 thread meant for filters or converters. I have not get any filters yet, so im wondering if i mount a CPL filter onto the adapter, will it collide with the filter when i max zoom in?

Please update after you try hor.:bsmilie:

Should be ok. Place a uv filter there and slowly zoom in. The lens should not touch the filter at all.

just bought kenko 52 mm CPL filter from Cathay and can fit into the raynox adapter...

As long as there is threading, you can place filters.

Coz when i max zoom in, it overshot the adapter thread by 2 threads

Should be OK as filter threads are not that deep.

Hi felixcat, I've been there last week, but he told me the 52mm CPL is out of stock. He also suggested to me to check out at the next store, Ruby. However, they were also out of stock. :) Do you think is worth to get a MC CPL?

Why not? Try MS Color, Cathay Photo, or even Alan Photo or John 3:16.

Cathay, Alan and John are all in Peninsula/Funan

There is one AP store in SLS and MS Color is in AMK Central.

Call them b4 going down. This will save a wasted trip.

Thanks Felix. Actually I've been told by the MS, CP, TCW and Ruby that they do not carry MC filter. They will only order when there is a request. If I'm not wrong, the CPL in the Singapore market are all single coated.

Why not get those instead? Got mine from TCW for $38 for the 58mm
Works just well.

I'm too 怪懒 ;p Mostly I will not invest in lens in the near future, therefore want to get a better filter.

Converter is good when you are trying to shot certain pic. Cos you can't shoot good macro without a macro lens and landscape without wide converter.
