Still awaiting reply from MS about Vivitar. There is another shop that supposedly had it about 2 weeks ago, I am calling them tomorrow to check. The other flash is from AP, should be about $50-60. Will infrom you once I have the price.

Let us know the price for both flashes.

Thanks

If I were to purchase the Canon Adapter and a UV filter - do they include the lens cap? If not how much will it cost? Thks for advise.

58mm clip on lens cap is around $8-10.

EDIT: Wrong price listed

O yah, the original lens cap w/o clip is a pain!! Think can buy one with clip if only $5. Please update if anyone got one! Thanks!:)

Vivitar DF200 is $110 from AP (Phone quote) They are the only ones in Sgp that carry it, so guess they can set whatever price they want.

I did find a flash that is exactly the same from Phoenix. Its the D91-BZS, you can control the power. It looks exactly like the Vivitar DF200.

Vivitar lookalike from China. Should work the same too. The Phoenix brand is well known for good stuffs..

Looks like the Lensmate adapter MO must KIV until long long liao.

Hi Guys,
I've already recvd news from Mcgill regarding the adapter.
Raynox do have the S2is adpter and its of 52mm thread size.
RB52S2. It's made of metal with 40mm height.
I'll post the picture of the bayonet tube adapter later in the C&C thread.
If there's interest, I can arrange the MO.
It cost only S$45nett.
Cheers,
James

Yeah did some reading on other forums, it performs like the DF200. Next thing to do is hunt down which shop in Sgp carries this. Then whoever wants can go down as a group & demand a bulk discount! :bsmilie:

Not good at all. I tested it on Sat. The 1540pro is still the best tele for the S2/S3

Err.... all the slaves I have seen so far cost $50-70. Think AP is jacking up the price.

Images are not sharp at all. Almost total loss of fine detail. Lots and lots of purple fringing.

Agree. Was there with Cerebrus and saw the pics.

Thinking of getting a polarizer for my S3, but not much idea of how much, what, and where.

Read on Raynox site that theirs is a linear polarizer type, then I also read elsewhere that circular polarizer is better in order for the auto-focus and auto-exposure to work. Then I read that Hoya does have circular type but then it comes in many grades. Confused liao!

And *then* you need a 52mm or 58mm "holder" or something to fit it in.

Any recommendations? Thanks.
