Ok, so I get a third party adapter and third party wide converter like Raynox. What is the model and how much does it cost?

I do not foresee using the converters often. Since I assume it will "reduce" the zoom capability, I would want to remove it most of the time and put them on only when I want to use it. Will it be troublesome or not advisable to do this?

it is rather troublesome.. esp. when u shoot nature. u always haf to change between wide-angle, polarizer, tele-converter (in my case, i dun haf tis) and close-up lens. so i always tend to remove e whole thin and capture a shot first for memory.. and den put in e necessary stuff to enhance e pic.

anybody bought the teleconverter?

Apologies for my ignorance. But if you put on the adapter and wide converter, how does the original lens zoom out since the converter lens is in the way?

It will not be in the way. With the adapter on, there is a little mm of space to the end of the adapter so the lens does not hit it even with a UV filter on.

took my WC for a dry run last weekend....absolutely no prob with the lens.
btw, anybody bought the canon teleconverter?

Those interested in the wide or tele converters from Raynox can go to Cityhall starbucks tomorrow at 2pm to meet Morphis who will bring it down to let those interested see them. remember to pm or post in the consumer's corner to let him know first.

I am letting go my Canon original Adapter+hood set as I have bought my Lensmate versions. Please go to the B&S thread if you are interested in taking over the adapter from me.

anybody know the price for close-up lens 500D and the teleconverter?

It should be ard $150 to $170.. each..

I feel that after buying the original TC, other brands such as Raynox may be better cos the end of the lense allow you to attached filters or hood.. whereby the canon one cant.

Anybody know how to DIY or solution to fix the hood to the canon TC?

You can get the Raynox Macro lenses, $95 I think. You can try mine out if you want.

For DIY, only way I can think of is to stick it on :)
