folks, i have a question....let's say u bought the canon original lens adapter...subsequently i bought a 3rd party wide converter, are these 2 items able to fit? as the converter able to fit into canon adapter?

Canon adapter = 58mm.

You then need to get lenses/filters with thread size of 58mm.

Check the lensmate site, they say that the 52mm version is more suited for the S2IS.

Cerebrus,

Are you also interested in the 52mm Lensmate adapter?

Assumimg the two of us order the 52mm version, it will cost USD$42.90. Add shipping = USD$54.90. That is USD$27.45 for each of us or about SGD$45.30

Any one else interested?

I am, if I do end up getting the tele or wide adapter. Need to check my budget though, I am but a poor graduate student, so postive income is nothing to be happy about. ;) We can see how many people are interested, then can do our own mini MO from Lensmate. They have adapters for all the other Canon cams.

Cerebrus,

you getting the 0.79x one is it? What about the 0.66x version that morphis is doing the MO for?

52mm $199
58mm $210

Get the DCR-1540PRO 1.54X, it is good! Have seen S2IS pics with this tele converter. Cheaper then the Canon, if I am not mistaken. You need a 52mm adapter though.
