I actually have a lensmate adaptor for my G5. it is metallic and back, so much prettier than the Canon's silver ah beng version. nevertheless there wasn't much choice when I was using the G5. I seriously doubt you can tell much difference considering I couldn't tell a pix taken with the Canon 250D and a Hoya +4.

I have taken pics with the Hoya +4 and they do not seem as sharp as the ones with the Raynox. Also, the Raynox is cheaper then the Canon.

Shall we all just meet up? Bring down what ever accessories we have, then let others test them out. That way we do not have to worry about getting something that we will find useless in the long run. I am sure that we will be able to cover most of the accessories that can be used on the S2/S3. Even the S1 people can join, so it will be a canon looooong zooooom outing :bsmilie:

the Canon 250D and 500D are just overpriced. even the WC/TC as well. I mean the EF 50mm f/1.8 lens (this thing has electronics, various rings, and a USM focusing motor) is selling for $128 how can a simple two pieces of glass in the 250D sell for $120?

True, most of their accessories for the P/S are too expensive, which is why people tend to get 3rd party ones.

WC or TC.... <SIGH!> Want both, only enough $$ for one.

but when attached e slave flash, will it be able to attach to a tripod?

was looking at the raynox DCR-7900ZD
promises ALMOST 0% distortion
i pm-ed morphis already n he said he's getting a quote for it. i hope it'll b affordable enough, not like the $150 AP quoted me for canon's

can try those $25 light triggered slave flash, it goes off when your flash does, so no need for kludgy wiring and cabling. useable if your main flash does not get in the way.

hao siao one lah. even my 100mm macro lens also have -0.00something % distortion heehee. I think you will not really notice, especially if you don't compare side by side.

Not a bad idea, can test out the long zoom also.
