OMG...bro, what you say is totally wrong. When you purchase the extended warranty for $150, you get the 50mm f1.8 lens free. Haha...or u wanna till sitex? see got simi deal but price normally fixed lor..

So unless you are working there, or the sales person is your friend, then you won't get pretty much discounts. I was working at the last show and when i enquired on the 2nd day, the boss said, no discount for people working there...i was like...:dunno: Haha...but when i bought the camera on the 3rd day, i spoke to another guy (Not the boss), he added more stuff for me.
So it's unlikely to get a discount, and have them throw in more stuff. If you really want the freebies, then go for it. Other wise, go to a normal store and get your camera. Bargain it down. Get your camera during the SITEX period, so that you can bargain more at the normal store. SDHC cards are dirt cheap. If you want HDD drives, i'm selling them. Western Digital. I can give you a good price for it.
So it's up to one to decided where to buy.

Haha...yes warranty is by canon. If you want to call John 3:16, call at 12pm - 12.15pm sharp. Thats the time they open. It's usually empty at that time. Now it's pretty packed and they have no time to pick up the phone. Besides, you can hardly listen to the phone ringing in that store, when it's buzzing with consumers. Haha..extended warranty is by canon?

i bought mine $1299 a week ago at best denki vivocity..
450D Kit + 2 x 4g SDHC + one original batt + tripod (forgot brand, blue and yellow box) + camera bag and lens book + $1299/$50 worth of parking points
i would say it's not bad...
but recently i saw the papers and audio house is giving almost the same items.. but it's giving away DRY CABINET instead of batt... i think this is more power.... but dunno brand though..
