My focus too inconsistent even on f8. After comparing other 24-105mm pictures, my is already too soft. Didn't really test it out, but out of the pictures I seen, I can conclude its roughly a front focus. Anyway they have the means to do it so let them figure out the problem. Something that should be included for a 1K+ lens. Calibration is free under warranty.
Its more like blur to me xD instead of not sharp enough esp at the long end... thats why I gian the AF adjustment on the 50D so much
