 not having the 200 range is a pain. wish i had it.

I like the 2nd picture.
It got nice bokeh and the accurate focus.
Good job!

Just buy it uncle! Don need think so much already! lol :bsmilie:

I am still 20++ yo!
Not yet 30...;p
I will get that of course.
But just wondering whether it is enough for my need or not.
Next month, I intend to use that for my cousin wedding dinner shot.
It is a middle size ball room.
As I have not used that flash b4,
so I am not that sure whether it will be enough or not.
The last flash that I used for the wedding shot is 580ex.

Who did you get the flash from?
I intend to get one too.
Can you post some samples with this flash?

Just go down, get it and pay by cash with a little bit of bargaining, of course. Not sure about the salesman's name but don't seem too friendly to me. I got it together with the BG-E5 Battery Grip, which cost me $180. Unfortunately no pics yet as I have not try any flash shots with it.

Thanks for your reply.
I am also interested at the BG-E5 also.
But the Phototix 3rd party battery grip with two 3rd party batteries which cost only $130 makes me wondering which is better for my purchase.

I have heard of 3rd party Grips causing a short circuit to the body due to the poor alignment of the contacts from the Grip with the Body but as for 3rd party Battery Packs, they are known to cause leaks or even explode but I have yet to hear of any so far, hope you will not be the first if you think of getting one. Is it worth the savings for the risk you are taking?

Your photos are great with 55-250mm IS lens.
It makes me thinking of getting one for myself.
Haha:cool:
I hope to try out this lens next time b4 the purchasing.
Do you use that frequently for your shoot?

I got the quotation from the Mass Sales section
It really sounds like a good deal but I am quite concern about the short circuit problem only.

Thanks JPLim!:) I have found myself really using this lens alot lately and it is great for a "budget" lens. I was really surprise how it performed in lower light and at full the full 250mm range...Give the lens a try..too bad I can't make it for the gathering to let you try it out but I am sure some of the others going for the gathering may be able to help.

How u feel about using the 580EX, I intend to get the 580EXII. Then can play around with mutiple flashes. If you get the 430EX, power not enough for you, can always get 580EX and set up multiple flash. No harm done

The 580EX is quite nice to use but I have never used that with 450D.
I used it last time when my friend's 5D last time.
It can deliver good exposure if you use the ceiling bounce for the shoot.
I am quite budget tight kind.
So, need to make a decision carefully. :)
