Ms color up the price! When i call on wednesday morning, the boss answered and told me theres stock and just arrvied, px 599. and so i went down. But when i reached, there's this guy told me that there is no stocks and that it cost 610! I was quite pissed off cos i was told 599 netts or cash. So i insisted that i called and the asistant went to ask the boss and den say boss quote me the px not him. zzz ! Wth lor. And they only have 15 units so stocks rather limited ! Asistents like up the px so that they can earn commision or what? V dishonest lor. Luckily the person who pick up my call is the boss, so i manage to get at 599!

Anw, got one qn to ask. I will be brging my cam to korea, the temp ard 1deg to -8deg. Is it possible to use it there? I will be putting it in my pocket and only taking it out when i need to take photos? shldn't be any prob? Or shld get those underwater case? I knw one selling ard 30 plus dollars but the bag is quite big for my cam and will move around, so dont think thats v useful! Anyone try before?

Trying to make more money is not dishonest.. Cny coming, company more profits.. The more bonus to get.. It's your problem u didn't state clearly you called and was quoted a price already.. Why u wanna test integrity when u r not even talking to the person who quoted you..

Bck to the point of freezing weather.. Only issue is batt life will be shorter.. Get spare batt if u worried.. Camera shouldn't malfunction.. Brought a lousy power shot to ski resort also wOrks.. Only thing is condensation issues when temp change too much.. So dnt let the cam get too warm then take out and shot immediate..

Just viewed my first shots from this S95. It was like whoa lovely! :bigeyes: Great colors, clear & sharp. Had misgivings over the hefty price (with a bit more can buy the Nikon D3100) but now no regrets whatsoever. Beautiful simple & compact, fit my needs perfectly. And great videos too! Wont feel the pain so much of not carrying my dslr all the time

As Nikon dslr user, really disappointed they dont have something like this. Canon still the best at least where compacts are concerned.

That's a problem. Many small shops do not physically put a price tag. So they may shoot whatever price they like at any time. Unlike some places like Best Denki where they place a tag (athough they can sell it cheaper if you bargain).

Hence should try to buy from places like Best Denki, Challenger or Newstead (provided they sell the cam).

Without declaring their prices physically, these small little wicked shops are out to chop consumers.

The problem is when i went there, i told them that i called and was quoted 599 yet the 2 assistants both say no stocks n one ask another: " You say 599 ah, this morning onwards i all up to 610 liao." Pardon me but you must be joking. These places like many others offer the worst prices with all the fake special offers/discounts, XX% discount to the first XX customers & other ridiculous tricks & treats. To relate just one incident, bought a CF card for $50 from one of these shops & got a better/later model for $30 a few shops away. One is like stealing while you are not looking & the other like daylight robbery Of course one can try to justify all these on economic grounds but money is still money & its up to the individual.

Just need to do some research on the web, check out CS here for price lists/user feedbacks, etc before committing to purchase. A knowledgable well informed buyer is less prone to end up being chopped vegetable head

Hello! I've been following this thread and finally went down to buy the S95 today. Been deciding between the LX5 for a really long time...Was easier to get hold of than I thought after reading some posts here.

Called MS Color on Saturday and was told that they were OOS. Person was rather curt :/ So I sent an email enquiry to Parisilk on the same day. Person called back within half an hour and said he could reserve a piece for me at their Katong V outlet.

After walking in circles for a really long time I finally found the shop In quite an obscure place...plus it was raining -.- $589 cash with brown case and 8GB card. I saw another piece on the shelf but I think it was reserved. Pretty good service there.

Anyone knows where to get the screen protector and third party batt at a good price?
