Do try an email enquiry at Parisilk's website. I think the sales people are inclined to say no stocks when you call them. Thought they wouldn't reply my online enquiry but surprise surprise they did and managed to reserve a piece.

I bought mine on Saturday at Mega Foto at Far East Plaza. $600 including 8GB ram and ixus casing. When I bought it, they have 3 sets left.

Hong Kong was quoted HK2950 with intl warranty 6 months from a reputable shop, not one of those in Tsim Sha Shui. With exchange rate of 6.1 that works out to $492 compared to $599 here. Save ~$100.

I was in Hong Kong on 11/01/11, went to the famous Echo camera shop to check the price of S95. I was quoted HKD$2900(SGD$490-$500) for S95. I was very tempted to buy but I already have G12, HS300, S90, Ixus130. Anyway, I'll be going back to HK again on 15/01/11.

When i first brought my S95 locally.
It have dead pixel (Pixel color did not change) after 3 weeks. (Not immediately)
Luckily, send to CSC, they replace the entire LCD screen for me.
Wait about 1 week - They say send to malaysia Canon factory ...

Till now (Few months already), everything nice nice.

my usual haunt for compacts - got one compact every year from F31d days. Through their renovations etc. but this turned me off.

top floor sim lim square theres a shop s95 for $590 standard package, local warranty.

Actually most countries outside spore sell at ard $500 - tokyp, bangkok, taipei, shanghai... Not just hk.

Got mine for the price of S$ 589 at at Chinatown store(Standard Pkg) Plus the SanDisk Class4 8GB, Canon Brown Case and Local warranty 12 Mths + 3 Mths if register online, checked with them the stock via SMS and got it within a day. Song Brother - Funan S$ 629 with all the above plus mini new tripod and screen protector - not attractive.

Bought the 3rd party battery at $7, green color box with name "Revo" outside. Took couple of hundreds of photos with it, found it reliable with no problem, so went & bought another 2 batteries

So if you add in $8GB card of around S$30 and then the cost of a leather pouch, it probably comes close to what you are quoted in Singapore, and that with local 1 year waranty.

Bottom line, only get it for $500 elsewhere if it comes with 8Gb card and pouch, or if it doesn't only if you have your own card and don't care about the pouch and want to save S$100.

Yeah agree. Better to buy in Singapore. Canon not so dumb to create an arbitrage opportunity between Hong Kong and Singapore.

Anyway I already bought mine in HKG which my colleague delivered today.
