i think S95 will be a better bet.. at least there is built in HDR for those moment where you need it.. and the canon orginal batt seems to last longer than the S90...

Desperate so went down to People's Park. 2 Shops People's Audio & Nusantara (or something like that) selling at $599 incl gst. But somehow dont feel comfortable to buy so didnt ask if got feebies etc. No choice but better wait than regret

Camera Flash Issue

Hi... sometimes, we will loan the camera to strangers to ask them help ask take peektures. However. in "Auto Flash Mode" the flash doesnt come out until the shoot button is pressed. So this is an issue as, most strangers will place their hand over the flash and prevent it from coming out. Is there any way to make the flash pop out first b4 handing over the camera?

Also. how do I return the flash to stow position without havin to off and on the camera again?

Force it into forced flash mode. Only works in modes other than Auto though.

Turn off the flash in the flash choices when you are done with the flash too.

Just personal feelings, like buying at SLS. For that price, prefer to buy at well known retailers unless price is much cheaper. Best if you go down in person to check it out. Maybe should be ok if it comes with the necessary papers. As mentioned I didnt go further to check out freebies etc.

finally got my s95 already! anyone knw is there any difference between the 3rd party sold by slrr which cost only 7 dollars as compared to those in ms color which cost 30 dollars? Diff capactity? i heard Alan photo selling at 20 but capacity is 3 times that of ori battery. Anyone knw?

Ms color at amk! Pls call and check with them first when i bought i heard they only receive 15 units so better call them tml morning to make sure there's stocks before going down!

$7 batt is as good as orginal in capacity. I have 3 of them for different cams. They are still working well.

Called Parisilk on Mon. Staff claim stocks will come same day or latest the next day. Call them on Tue & another staff says dont know when stocks will come. And they sounded unhelpful like they cant really be bothered so wrote them off from my list of reliable vendors

Just got the S95 at MS Color AMK for $599 cash. Saw they still have abt 10+ unit on the shelves Have to personally go to Canon to collect case & card only from next week
