If you are only going to shoot Auto all the time, then I suggest Panasonic for the very fast and smart intelligent-Auto. The S95 has better size and cost, while the LX5 has better intelligent-Auto, and the lens is faster at the long end. I personally find the S95 better, but I the Auto is not as capable as Panasonic's.

My experience is based on the Panasonic Lumix TZ-10 (12x zoom). It has better face detection (identification by name), and faster automatic scene detection than the S95. Of course, the low light performance for S95 is way better than for the travel zoom, but if you're going to use your camera for travel, then do consider the TZ-10. I bought the S95 for myself, and the TZ-10 for my mum's use during vacations.

You are a little late now. With the unexpected nice low price of the new S95 at $589, used S90 will not fetch $500 now.

I sold my S90 on Tuesday at $500. But thats 1 day before the S95 came to Singapore.

If you can sell at $500, there is really nothing to hold you back...before the S90 value drop like mad.

In few months time, the S95 will sell lesser for about $550. Used S95 will then fetch about $420 for used units. By then, Used S90 can only command $300 or lesser.

if S95 is abt S$ 590/-, how many buyer will be interested to get a 2nd hand S90 @ S$ 500 ?
either will be cash payment.
however, if someone willing to sell S90 @ S$400/-, i'll take.
it's not much diff anyway

Just got the S95. Cool camera and I'm still learning.

I supposed the zoom in object and blur the surroundings is call bokeh.

This "Bokeh" term is also learned in CS. ;p
Do a search and realise is a Jap word translated.

Anyway, i think need to put a smaller aperture value.
Smaller aperture value = Bigger Aperture opening.

Please advise from all sifus here.

i would also like to know if they have stock.. i will also want to go and grab 1... cos i sold my one together away with my S90.. and now need another one for my S95
