Why don't you call them? The phone number is listed. You can get answer immediately. Surely if you intend to spend thousands, that few cents incurred won't hurt right? :dunno:

However, its kinda scary to bring in thousands of dollars in cash into JB...whats your say?hmmmm

I'm afraid too, especially when i dun drive .. walking around with lots of cash is definitely not a good option. am looking for friends or maybe any Cser who wants to go in together to get their gears. anyone??

The discount ain't really a lot, I suppose. Mee Too could offer better pricing but certain items are out of stock and need to place order for 'em.

I did. There is an additional 2.5% charge, and the conversion rate when I received the bill is $1sgd=RM$2.33 thereabout (by VISA).

Can split into cash and credit card also.

e.g RM3000 lens, can pay $1000 cash $2000 by card. Only the $2000 is subjected to 2.5%

I do go to jb..but not on a frequent basis..although nothing happened to me all the time,other than being extorted by the Malaysian police before..I just don't have a gd feeling being there..i just feel that u can lay hope on the Malaysian police to ensure it is a safe place at all..

Frequent visitor to JB here, I agree with what you say. Though so far ok, there is just that feeling of uneasiness when you go to JB.

However I will say that feeling will slowly go away as you move up north, e.g. to Ipoh or Penang. JB seems to give me a "higher sense" of uneasiness.

Over the past 15 years, I have been extorted once, not by robbers, not by police, but by a custom officer at the old JB custom. And I parted with about RM$150 in that occasion. Since then the govt servants are the ones whom I fear more than any other people. :bsmilie:

Body is local, lens can be international if they are still selling the old stock which comes with the green colour warranty card(Probably all sold as well).

As far as i know, Canon has stop international warranty for lenses & flash.Same goes for HK..
