I just bought Lowepro Apex 60AW... fix nicely if you are carrying your stock G10 around.

I am planning to buy few lens accessories, so most probably, 60AW is too small

Anyone can recommend a waist shoulder level tripod for G10?
Anyone bought adapter for filter lens, Canon or lensmate better har?

was thinking gorillapod for my G10.

Welcome to CS! I see this is your first post.
No need to be embarassed about anything. It would be nice to meet fellow G10 users to exchange tips, and also see what neat accessories they might have.

As for me, I'm hoping to meet a G10 user that has the Lensmate lens adaptor. I'm interested in the one that is described as To Add 72mm Filters, No Vignetting at any focal length.

I'll keep a list of CS members interested, and if there are enough, will organize a gathering.

Count me in too! I'm complete new to G10 :embrass: and I'm eager to find out more about 'em!!! Would be great to have some enlightenment from the rest!

i only ever do portraits and macro, does the raynox 250 require the lensmate? if so i'm in on the mo if not then not sure whether i should get it

Canon has released a firmware update for the PowerShot G10 compact camera. Version 1.0.2.0 rectifies the occurrence of a magenta cast when RAW images are captured at ISO 1600 in continuous shooting mode or in single shooting mode with the monitor switched off. The fix only affects cameras with a serial number within a range specified by Canon.

Turn the camera on by pressing the PLAY button, and then press FUNC.SET and DISPLAY together.
The firmware version will then be displayed.

Mine (v1.0.1.0) is affected, but I've not encountered it yet.

there is one i have my sights on it's made out of leather and looks quite vintage.

I think ver 1.0.2.0 is the updated firmware. The old one was 1.0.1.0

if im not wrong sets with the 5th digit as "1" or "0" from left are affected. Mine was already updated to current firmware when i got it.

Cool! Actually I was looking at Lensmate and Opteka brand for the adapter. I'm looking for a wide angle fish eye lens as well. Wonder if there's any good recommendations... :angel:

I'm using the opteka adapter... ordered from Amazon.com.

There is another cheaper brandless adapter from dealextreme.com
