Aperture....
Need some help here pls...totally newbie. I wanted to have some effect on my photo in a way that the focus point is sharp and the background is blur. I did some reading up and i tried seting the it to F2.8 and shot. But it end up no different here.....am i doing something wrong here ?
Will getting the tele-converter 1.4x TC-DC850 (requires Lens adaptor LA-DC58K) helps me in getting a better Bolek effect ?
And i was wondering why that dpreview state that the lens is 28mm - 140mm, but on my physical camera it stated 6.1-30.5mm ?
Pardone me if i'm asking some stupid question.....but i'm new =P

This is the reply from Canon:
Greeting from Canon Singapore.
According to product specification of PowerShot G10, it support SD(maximum
2GB) and SHDC memory card(4GB, 8GB, 16GB & 32GB in current IT market).
In fact, SDHC Class 2 is already sufficient for PowerShot G10 camera usage.
Class 4 & 6 more delicated for digital flash memory camcorder.
Class 4 & 6 can be use with PowerShot G10, just it will not fully utilized
the speed of the memory card.
Hope the information help for you.
Thank you for purchasing our Canon product & may you have a pleasant day.

I compared the LX-3 & G10, but choose the G10 for the following reasons
1) I have a 40D , ST-E2 and 2x580ex2. Flashes can be used with full ETTL on the G10
2) exposure compensation dial
3) From reviews, at low ISOs, g10 is better. If i need to shoot stuff at ISO >400, I will be bringing my DSLR
4) Longer Reach of lens
