Serious, they have 2 variants? So far, i've seen is all made in Japan. If it's made in China, i'll pass. Haha.Must make sure to get the "Made in Japan" copy instead of "Assembled in China". :bsmilie:

No i was just refering to any lens made in China, i'll pass. Haha.:nono: "Made in China" and "Assembled in China" are not equivalent.
And yes, there are 2 variants. Usually premium lenses are "Made in Japan" while some of the affordable ones are also "Made in Japan" too.![]()

tammy is cheap & lightweight compare to sigma. u can get a very sharp copy.
canon is expensive and overrated piece of glass & heavy.
but canon has advantage at the wide end.
i hv no experience with sigma.
but if u dont need the f2.8, u can also consider 24-105/4L for its versatility.
Yeah, i'd prefer that.tammy is cheap & lightweight compare to sigma. u can get a very sharp copy.

Brand new should hover around $500+ i think. There isn't a price for it, at the lens guide.I need the f2.8 at times. That's why I am considering that lens.
$420 at BnS? Hmmm, how much is brand new?
Any of you guys saw the National Geographic Telescope? Selling for $169 at vivo. Feel like getting it to view the stars and space.

There's a new version. 167x zoom. The 128x zoom is cheaper. If you do the calculations, it's about a dollar per zoom. Haha.I saw it few months back. Pretty good stuff. 128x tele zoom.
Yeah, thought of getting it in the coming weeks? I can go back to school and make a mount to fit my camera into the scope. Haha.Wah piang... Wait really see "stars" (faint)...
But at $169, I think it's really worth it .

Finally someone who agrees with me. Canon lenses can be overated at times. No choice. They force us to buy them. Unless other lens manufacturers can make a good Auto focus system on their lens, Canon still seems the only choice.
Tamron really needs to improve its AF.

ninja boy BBB virus getting sibei sibei strong liao...:devil:
this will turn the econ around much faster!!!
the AF speed & build aside, the tammy can give the L a run for the money.
but once bitten by L, u cant resist for more.. :bsmilie:
anyway, if u just starting out, i suggest go with tammy.
the L can wait.
too bad i'm just a poor kid....
