It's not NUS.

My school is at PIXEL Building overseeing Biopolis which is shown in the photo. The area is called one-North Park.

the first pic was shot at f4 , iso200 , for 1/60s.
second one was at f2.8 , iso100 , 1/125s.

for the full settings you can just visit my flickr and click on properties. i've got many more cat photos too but they're mostly strays.

for both pics i applied curves in photoshop and saturated them a little i think. also sharpened both of them very slightly.
and added a strong vignette around the cat for the first one too.

I like the shot I think you could make the shot more attractive by employing more bokeh (blur circles) in the background:thumbsup:

Open your aperture as big as it can, in other words, reduce the F-number. But you also need to have light sources in the background to create the circles

Ok, I wanna showcase that the 450D is capable of taking pretty decent sunset shots too!

Wah. Damn fierce sia. I saw lens flares and your lens is crying as it hurts.

Try not to do it too often even if it's just a kit lens. Perhaps you can get yourself a CPL filter.

I read that CPL filters are useful only when you're shooting at perpendicular angle to the sun? Anyway, see the vignetting at some of the corners? That's my CPL filter. LOL

Flares can harm lens?:dunno:

Wah... I love these shots! They give good gradients. I sux at sunrise and sunset.
