Wow, good colors RyanG! Nice! My friend sms-ed me that the sky was beautifully orange today at sunset. But I was at Supersize seminar and Bugis is not exactly the place for sunset photos:sweat:

You used only CPL filter?

I forgot to remove my skylight filter and screwed the CPL on... So I had some vignetting at my corners:bsmilie:

Too excited over a nice sunset

All shots are from the kit lens with CPL filter attached. :)

Love your sunsets

I took the sunset just now too, but from my house, so it doesn't look so nice...

Did you get the rainbow?

its supposed to look like my flickr page is coming out of my computer screen. i thought it was kinda obvious actually.

Ryan,

You are da man!!! I can only have one word to describe - Beautiful.

I saw this beautiful evening sky when I was on my way back from Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve to Yew Tee but was too tired to take my camera out to snap in the train. :P

Just some newbie thoughts only. Hope they help as I'm also still learning.

#1 - Looks like PnS snapshot. Color tone a bit dull, probably due to cloudy weather.

#2 - Framing too tight. Zoom out a bit and try slow shutter speed for cloudy water effect.

#3 - Are you framing all the flowers together? If yes, try to zoom out a bit. If not, try bigger aperture (smaller F numbers) and point focus to single on one of the flower and blurring the rest. Try to crop if needed.

#4 - You played with the color tone, right? The whole picture looks slightly reddish brown.

#5 - Good timing but picture slightly slanted. Needs more contrasting effect to bring out the water shots.

Thanks for the tips, I guess I still got a lot to learn!

u went bedok reservoir alone just now ah? sibei on.....

Ya. With my camera and umbrella. Squatting down to take all my shots with my tripod only at its 1st level. Even the drizzle cannot stop me from shooting this wonderful sunset. :bsmilie:

No rainbow to see. Haha!

And thanks for all the good comments and there's still room for more improvement and all of you too, keep shooting and hopefully see you guys around in future shoots.

both shots seems to have very soft focus (i might be wrong guys cos i am in a very dark room and my laptop brightness is turned down all the way). was the soft focus done on purpose?
