O.K I think I will go for 3rd party release shutter controller. ANy recommendation of tripod? those not so expensive yet durable one
I used Fancier FT-6663A for nearly 4 months, S$80 from PhotoCam at Pennisula plaza, very durable one. It comes with ball type head and quick release, very easy to adjust.

Hey folks, this is my first post! So I guess I should make it worthwhile by sharing these few shots I managed to obtain today for my portfolio. Spent about half of my afternoon just doing this and yeah, it took a (hell) lot of tries, but it was worth it!

All shots were made with my 450D, using a EF 50mm f1.8 lens which I bought a couple of days ago (worth every dollar).

And this was the end result of the shoot:

Yep. I did the shoot in my own room, and all I needed were some mahjong paper, a clamp-on table lamp, a cheapo tripod, a glass vase, an apple, a lot of water and a whole load of patience. Hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as I do!

pretty impressive.

Another black and white shot from me. This time there is a little more colour.

The bin is purposely shot like this. I think it is a personal preference. Please let me know if the composition is right.

Thanks.

I simply love the song "Come Home" by One Republic.
The lyrics are meaningful. I think im gonna start a "Manifest the lyrics" project where i post photos which translates lyrics of songs to photos. Should be fun to intertwine two of my passions together.
