Opps...I think should be APS-C...yup its a crop sensor for Canon. Darkside calls it DX I think. I mentioned I have a 55-250mm range so 300mm won't make a big difference so might as well go for 400mm instead to have any difference. As to what to look out for, I am still researching it, I am still thinking if I even need IS, very big difference in price.

guess i can only ask you liao since u got 250mm range. if u off the IS, can you still can a sharp and well composed picture?

the range is really addicting. just can't get enough. the dilemma is the F size and IS function. weight and size doesnt really matter coz with that range, i guess u'll hv to get use to the weight/size.

i've been tempted for so looooooooooooongg.....so which lens u getting nxt? most probably it'll overlap ur current one wor.

You can force cancel the 10s counter by switching off the power when its activated.

I is happy!! just bought my 55-250mm IS today ($360 with gst).. and tripod ($60 only.. juz a simple one for now).. at CP.. notice that prices at buy and sell thread isn't much diff... 2nd hand 55-250 selling at $300 or $350.. must well buy new one.. haiz.. will really like to join you guys for SSS... but I'm working almost every weekend.. haiz..

wah lau...envy lor. i asked J 3:16 today too. same price $360. sigma 70-300mm at $380.
i'm sure u'll hv great fun with the zoom.

Put it under SIGNATURE. Well shutter speeds...hmm....not really slow ones. About moderately fast or just slow. Because i have the battery grip to balance out. Or just use a tripod.

Keep the Live View function handy with a click of the 'Set' Button, just a thumb press away.

me like to use dis function as well but leh i dun really noe how to focus them clear clear...

how huh? I normally focus on a subj to AF then switch on the live view.

nice body....long battery..sound ok nia...but wat i like best is the weight of the cam...

I like my cam to be light which is why I choose 450d over 40d..

Talking about darkside. When i buy my Nikon D90, i make sure it shoots you with laser beams. Haha!!!!

I find that using the Live View to shoot a clear pic is uberly challenging. Even more than thru the viewfinder even with IS on. Haha.. :bsmilie:

In Live View, to focus, you have to press the focus button, hold it to lock AF then press the shutter. By the time, the cow come home already. Haha! :bsmilie:

Sia lah, bro. I am here comtemplating to get it if can by tmr and you say Msia cheaper. Wah lau, $50+ lesser. With it plus a little top-up, I can spent on a B+W filter to go with the lens lor.
