Hi.. May I know when did u order the cam?

I ordered 500D in early Feb n changed it to 550D just before CNY.

Well maybe not. In Arsene's case, he had to wait for the 550D to be released. That no longer applies since stocks are available now.

Is the red bag a EOS bag or crumpler bag?

Frankly I do not know the difference and was not too bothered by it cos I have many camera bags.

red crumpler bag, got black one but only left the red one while i was collecting.

Anyway, I need the camera by last saturday... so I bought it from the shop last friday.

It is included. Need to ask the right person.

we ask the mgr before CNY, and he indicated that it will be in the scheme, but will only be release during the IT show.

which is exactly what happens.

they customer service is so ****!! i ask them about the privilege program but they say no more but i can bring my old camera down to the service centre & maybe they will offer a newer model.

think better to go down directly, cant trust those CSO, be it singtel, canon, starhub etc

again, this has been indicated in past posting.

calling them will not get you your answer, you need to bring your defective camera down.

the last time I checked (during IT show), the price that I got my G11 (which is already 2 months back) is still better than that.

- Kit II is $1429
- Delivery is estimated to be less than 3 weeks, let's see...
- Freebies as per Canon website (no Crumpler..)

The condition of your old trade-in Canon is virtually irrelevant. The girl filled in the whole form and only asked for the camera at the absolute end to key in the serial number of my old (non functioning) S50. I assume it went straight to the bin after that.

Ended up saving almost $200 compared to street price for kit I, so am a happy camper...

Thanks for the update. I'm still pondering to get either the 550d Kit I or Kit II. Is the additional zoom useful?? Or get the basic and get another lens? Sorry, I'm new to DSLR. Hope the Lao jiaos can advise. Thanks

Hey guys, just went to CSC to order my first 550D. They actually don't care about your "trade-in" camera as long as it's a canon. The highest they offer is to 50D. Price quoted as below:
